Welcoming Dr. Clark to Risk Optometric Associates

Dr Charles ClarkSixteen and a half years ago, my desire to return to North Carolina was fulfilled.  I began to practice Optometry in Lumberton, North Carolina in Robeson County.  My father grew up in Pembroke and my mother was born and raised in the Union Chapel community.  Although my father was in the Navy and I was not raised in North Carolina, I have always considered it home.  I have a very good relationship with my cousins, aunts, and uncles that still reside in the area (my grandparents are deceased).  I met my wife in Lumberton.  We were married in May of 2011.  In March of 2013, were were blessed with a beautiful baby boy.  My wife has a lot of relatives in Lumberton with whom we enjoy a close relationship. The practice I worked in Lumberton was recently bought out and I decided to start searching for a new practice to join.  I decided on Risk Optometric Associates because they give me the flexibility to be with my young family, the autonomy to provide for patient's needs, and the convenience to remain close to Lumberton that I still call home.

Because of the ongoing concern over the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC has implemented specific guidelines for all eye practices. As a result, we are postponing all routine visits until further notice and only responding to urgent and emergent needs at this time. Many of our offices may soon be closed, but we will attempt to handle patient needs on a case by case basis. If you need an extension on a prescription for glasses, contacts, or medication, please email us at [email protected]. If you have an urgent need, you can try to reach us at 910.527.9519 and we will do our best to get back with you within an hour. Please leave your name, phone number, and the office you last visited. If for some reason our phone service is not working and we do not respond within an hour, please seek outside care. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to returning to normal hours of operation as soon as it is safe to do so.
