Sixteen and a half years ago, my desire to return to North Carolina was fulfilled. I began to practice Optometry in Lumberton, North Carolina in Robeson County. My father grew up in Pembroke and my mother was born and raised in the Union Chapel community. Although my father was in the Navy and I was not raised in North Carolina, I have always considered it home. I have a very good relationship with my cousins, aunts, and uncles that still reside in the area (my grandparents are deceased). I met my wife in Lumberton. We were married in May of 2011. In March of 2013, were were blessed with a beautiful baby boy. My wife has a lot of relatives in Lumberton with whom we enjoy a close relationship. The practice I worked in Lumberton was recently bought out and I decided to start searching for a new practice to join. I decided on Risk Optometric Associates because they give me the flexibility to be with my young family, the autonomy to provide for patient’s needs, and the convenience to remain close to Lumberton that I still call home.
