Your Eye Health

Vision affects your quality of life, and sharp visual acuity is related to having healthy eyes. Optimal eye health is dependent upon many factors including taking proper care of your eyes, having regular comprehensive eye exams and watching out for any warning signs of ocular disease. In addition, by examining your eyes in depth, your optometrist may be able to provide life-saving information about your overall health.

At Risk Optometric Associates, the eye doctors in Fayetteville and surrounding North Carolina locations know that all of this information may seem overwhelming. To guide you through several important, helpful topics, we invite you to read through our Eye Health Library. Our comprehensive collection of articles on vision and eyes serves as a basic introduction to ocular function. Common vision problems and eye diseases, refractive surgeries and the effects of aging are just a few of the subjects that we explain for your benefit.

If you have additional questions, we would be pleased to help you! Please contact us to schedule a consultation or drop in to see an eye doctor at a Risk Optometric Associates with convenient locations in Hope Mills, Aberdeen, Jacksonville, Hendersonville, Fort Bragg, Raeford, and Fayetteville, NC.

A MESSAGE TO OUR PATIENTS

Because of the ongoing concern over the COVID-19 pandemic, the CDC has implemented specific guidelines for all eye practices. As a result, we are postponing all routine visits until further notice and only responding to urgent and emergent needs at this time. Many of our offices may soon be closed, but we will attempt to handle patient needs on a case by case basis. If you need an extension on a prescription for glasses, contacts, or medication, please email us at [email protected]. If you have an urgent need, you can try to reach us at 910.527.9519 and we will do our best to get back with you within an hour. Please leave your name, phone number, and the office you last visited. If for some reason our phone service is not working and we do not respond within an hour, please seek outside care. Thank you for your understanding. We look forward to returning to normal hours of operation as soon as it is safe to do so.
